Why study abroad?
We know that Brazil has a lot of amazing institutions to learn other languages as well as international schools offering incredible curricula. So, why live abroad? There are many reasons and they might be different for each person.

Learning new languages
Learning English and other languages is something we often hear as an incentive. It really is a different experience to learn the language in the main place that it is spoken.
Growing as individuals
Living abroad offers unique experiences that push us beyond our potential. Interacting with different cultures and individuals will automatically lead us to grow as human beings. This growth is so important for our personal and professional paths. It is also important because it is an opportunity for self-knowledge.

Being bold and adventurous
To explore different parts of this beautiful planet we live in. "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes" - Marcel Proust. We really believe that the essential part of living abroad is the new perspective that the experiences will bring you. But we also believe in the power of seeing different landscapes.

Developing 21st Century Skills
The information age presents us with different challenges and to be successful students and professionals we need to develop our 21st century skills. They are: critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, flexibility, leadership, initiative, productivity, social skills, information literacy, media literacy, and technology literacy.
A lot of these skills are developed over time through lived experiences. The textbooks will not teach us how to adapt to different situations, how to engage with others in a kind and insightful way or how to have initiative to present new creative ideas or show leadership. Studying abroad allows us to face new scenarios and develop these skills within us.

Building Community
Having friends and people to trust is essential for human beings. We live in a society where each person has a different role, and belonging to one or more communities is such an inherent part of our lives. Having friends and professional relationships in different countries is an amazing privilege that can bring us so much joy and lead to different opportunities in the future. Studying abroad will allow us to meet others who like us, are new to that place and people we can keep in touch with for years to come.
